Darya Andijan
Darya Andijan is a Netherlands-based artist from Central Asia. Working across film, performance, and expanded cinema, she uses critical fabulation to reimagine Uyghur cultural memory and forms of resistance. Her works have been presented at Sheffield DocFest, and art spaces such as Framer Framed and 99 Canal.
A docu-fiction that explores the erasure of female history in the Uyghur region of China through a conversation between the director and Gülem, a forgotten goddess of carpet weaving.
