Stoker is Bouziotis' first feature-length film and the result of a decade-long process of coming to terms with the discovery that he has an unknown half-sister.

When he was fifteen, the filmmaker's uncle revealed that he had a half-sister. As a way of processing this information, Bouziotis began making a film that also functions as a personal letter to the Swedish sibling he has never met. In an attempt to introduce her to the father she never knew, he assembles an archive of home videos filmed before and after his own birth. At the same time, the film becomes an act of reconciliation with his own memories of their father.

Bouziotis creates a personal and essayistic style by combining videotapes his father filmed long before he was born, home videos of him as a child with his father, and footage of his current self and other family members, all in an effort to introduce to his sister the father she never got to know.

Stoker is screened alongside Shot Reverse Shot, another film that revisits and recontextualises archival images to uncover new meanings in the past.
