Elysa Wendi
Elysa Wendi is a Singaporean-born filmmaker, dance artist, curator, and co‑founder of the artist-run platform Cinemovement in 2015. Based in Hong Kong, her hybrid practice merges film, choreography, performance and meta‑lecture forms. Through films like One Min of Breath (2012), 1958 Delivery (2017), Forgive or Not to Forgive (2019), Someday I Will Become a Rock (2019), and Room 404 (2024), Wendi explores themes of memory, migration, body politics, and the abstraction of place and perception. Her work has earned awards such as Best Experimental Film (South Taiwan, 2018) and Best Documentary (Hong Kong Arthouse, 2020) and has been shown at platforms like Jumping Frames, Berlinale Forum Expanded and DOK Leipzig.
